“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind."
- Job 12-7-10

These past few weeks, I have been seeking soothing encouragement from nature. I missed being able to be outdoors and enjoy my usual exercise. I had to settle for looking at photos and videos. Deadlines, marathon sessions to complete work assignments, fatigue and pressures of daily responsibilities had taken up most of my focus and time. There were some moments where I was wondering how was I going to get everything done. I had to remind myself that with God all things are possible and that I can and will reach the finish line by God's grace. Today I reached the finish line, and what a feeling of relief and release I felt. I wanted to give my Lord an extra hallelujah.

I often take comfort in the fact that at the end of a work week, there is a day set aside by our Creator for us to enjoy, to rest, to reflect on Him, His creation, and His greatness (Exodus 20: 8-11). Everything that His hands have made point to Him. The pace of nature is slow and steady, very much in contrast to the average pace of our daily lives and challenges. Our Creator says: "Let's slow down, spend some time with Me." There is a healing and peace when we reflect on Him and His work.

"If all creation sings your praises, so will I."

Whatever the aspect of nature we choose to incorporate in our thoughts and experiences on our day of rest, let us remember the greatness of our God, who spoke all these things into existence, who set all things in motion, who regulates the cycles and natural rhythms of our planet, who has placed his signature on each one of us too, as His precious children. We are the works of His hands too. Let us praise the Lord, for He is worthy of all our worship, all our praises. He is Worthy!

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the breath of life, the beauty of Your creation, and for reminding us how big You are, and for reminding us how capable You are of handling the things that seem so large to us, but are small to You. All of Creation sings your praises, points to you, and declare your works. We too are created to glorify You. Accept our praises, lift our spirits and ease our burdens, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Enjoy this beautiful song I came across recently. I hope it lifts your spirits as it did mine. Be blessedπŸŽ§πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸΌ
