Tonight's Word 🌱

Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
-Psalm 145:2
Have you ever been on the receiving end of an unexpected but much appreciated act of kindness? It is a beautiful feeling knowing that someone considered you and met you at a point of need with their act of kindness.

Not all acts of kindness come gift-wrapped, or from someone we can see, or with a price tag. In fact, everyday we are on the constant receiving end of a mutitude of gifts. Consider our senses, without which we wouldn't hear beautiful songs, or see the sunsets around us, or smell that rose in the garden or even taste delicious fruits or the lovely meals prepared with love. How about a family member, a friend, a neighbour, or even a complete stranger who is there for us if needed? Even the ability to heal when we get a cut, or the ability to walk or run or do simple tasks?
“When eating fruit, remember the one who planted the tree.”
-Vietnamese Proverb
Today, we have so much to be thankful for. Not only today, but each and every day we are alive. Circumstances may vary, and we may even have things in our life that may be less than ideal, but still, the things that we can be thankful for can outnumber these at any point in time, if we allow ourselves to keep counting.  Have you noticed that even negative experiences water the soil from which good things can grow again? Gratitude multiplies our treasures!
“Thankfulness is the quickest path to joy.”
-Jefferson Bethke
The Bible encourages us to be thankful, and it is with good reason. Let us take a moment, no matter the situation, to take inventory of our many blessings, and give thanks to God. What are you thankful for?

Prayer:
Father in heaven, thank you for life, the breath in our lungs, the blood in our veins, the time that we have had this week to do all that we needed or wanted to do, and all that You have provided for us to sustain life. Even when we think we have nothing, we still have. Help us to always be counting our blessings, and never run out of things. May this day of rest be one enriched by an attitude of gratiude, despite whatever else may be going on in our lives at this time. You are kind, You are faithful, You are generous. You give freely, and may we be willing to give back to You as freely as they came. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Be blessed by the following song. It's a beautiful day. Let's not miss it. 🙂 Be encouraged 🎧🙏🏽
