Tonight's Word 🌱

"When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him?"
- Psalm 8: 3-4

On the second to last day of the year, one cannot help but reflect on the year that we are leaving behind and the year that is awaiting our arrival.

This year has been one of the most difficult for me, but it has also come with an added portion of God's grace, comfort, strength, and providence. I have had some leaves and twigs pruned, and I have also been placed in a position anticipating the continued growth and sprouting of new ones. The pruning process is never a pleasant one, but it is a necessary one for the health of any plant, or tree, and even us as individuals.

It is with utmost gratitude that I will end this year and begin the new year, gratitude for what God continues to do with me, in me, for me and through me, even when I don't understand or see the bigger picture. As the scripture verse for tonight says, the work of God's hands can be seen in the stars, the moon, the planet, and all creation, but I can't help but also be in awe at the work of these same hands in my own life. He shows His care by pruning me, and making room for new life and growth.

Staying true to the way of the sunflower, it is my desire to continue moving forward with my heart and mind uplifted and facing the light of my salvation, the source of all that I need, the giver of all good gifts, our Redeemer and King.

I wish each and every one a blessed new year, one that is reflective, one that nurtures a closer walk with our Creator. God be with us now, and always 🙏🏽

The song below recently blessed my heart. I hope it does for you too.🎧
