“The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.” - Psalm 9: 9-10 🌱

Life can be full of twists, turns, and unexpected challenges, seasons of distress and calm. Our individual challenges are varied. Sometimes these situations can appear so much larger than life, that we feel overwhelmed and uncertain if we can weather our way safely through it. It becomes difficult to see the present and future positively because of the nature of what we are experiencing in the moment.
Sometimes these situations can appear so much larger than life, that we feel overwhelmed and uncertain if we can weather our way safely through it.
The good news is that during these periods of distress, we have a rock, an anchor, a friend who sticks closer than a brother, and that friend is Jesus. He asks us to trust Him enough to hold on to Him, the hope and light of life. We may pull aside into His harbour, and take shelter. When all around is dark, let's hold on to Him. When our emotions can't find peace, let's hold on to Him. When we can't figure out why certain things are happening to us, hold on to Him. Despair may come in like a dark cloud, and may even rain down on us, but let not despair have the final word. Let's hold on to Him through everything and trust in His ability to bring us out to the other side of these storms. Hold on to Him and keep talking to Him from our heart. He is a stronghold, a shelter, and available to each of us as a Father who sees the end from the beginning, and can with assurance say to you: We will go through this together. Trust Me.
We will go through this together. Trust Me.
He went through his share of struggles while on earth and He understands. He has proven Himself to many in the past as a true companion in times of trouble, and He is more than able to continue to be the eternal hand that we each can hold on to and trust. Let us purpose to let our lives be a testimony of God's grace. Be blessed by the song below. God be with us 🙏🏼

God is Good (Jonathan McReynolds)

  1. That song always blesses me. It reminds me that my sovereign Father knows what's best, and what's best is more often than not the difficult path. Thank you, Dora
